Learning London with Aaron Loeb
9 tour bundle
About the Bundle

The tours below were selected by Aaron Loeb. He's done all ten of them, plus another 36 and counting in destinations around the world. But he started using VoiceMap in London after he moved to the city, so we asked him to put together a bundle that might help other locals, both longtime and newly arrived – and to pick a few favourites in the process.

I first began using VoiceMap to explore London when I moved here in the height of the pandemic. During lockdown, there was no going indoors, no visiting museums, but there was always something new to see on the streets of the city itself with VoiceMap’s brilliant tour guides in my ear.

To paraphrase Samuel Johnson, whose home you will visit on one of these tours, if you’re tired of London, you’re tired of life, and while London is of course home to some of the world’s most recognized landmarks, there is history around every corner and a new story to be learned down every alleyway.

This collection will give you a deep appreciation of the city, taking you to neighbourhoods you may have never visited without them and giving you newfound appreciation for the city’s most renowned locations. I’ve taken nearly every VoiceMap tour of the city and have picked some of the best for you (though there are so many more for you to try when you’ve taken these).

For this bundle, I’ve selected tours to give you a view of different parts of London – with rare exceptions, you will not visit the same neighbourhood twice. Consider this a London sampler. If you’re a local, I promise you that you will learn something new about the places you’ve seen hundreds of times. If you are visiting London for longer than a day and really want to get to know the city, these tours will show you a full picture of one of the greatest cities on earth.
