The Lake by Locals explores the history and urban legends of Lake Tahoe. As a local non-profit, in 2024 were were inspired to create this tour so visitors and locals alike can learn about Lake Tahoe's history while exploring the views from Heavenly's sky deck! The Lake by Locals tours use The Saga of Lake Tahoe by E.B. Scott as our historical guide as well as stories from Lake Tahoe locals of 50+ years. As the main content-creator for The Lake by Locals project, I am a native-born South Lake Tahoe local and educator, who knows how popular my home is for tourists and new-arrivals to the basin; my intent is to create authentic tours to educate other lovers of Lake Tahoe about our rich history and make it fun with some local urban legends. All monies raised from this audio tour go right back to The Lake by Locals project to help us create more content for our viewers and fans.
