Tips
Places to stop along the way
There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, and bars all along the route for a quick (or lengthy!) stop. Some of my favorites include Faccocia's in the Summit Center lobby. It's a family-owned place serving great homemade soups, salads, sandwiches, specials, and brunches. Their hand-crafted sandwiches are the bomb and their outdoor patio is a perfect place for a break before, after, or during our tour. If you want to grab a drink and relax, I suggest you hit the Brick Bar next to the PNC Building on Madison. It's not far from the tour conclusion, so you might want to head back here after your walk to talk about what you learned and have a refreshing drink. If you're looking for something quick and easy, try the cafe in Main Library.
Best time of day
Mornings and afternoons are a great time for this walking tour. Summer evenings are nice too.
Precautions
Toledo is like most other cities around the world, in that if you are sensible and take a few common-sense precautions, you should be fine. You may not want to lug around a large camera on this two-hour stroll but certainly, bring along your phone to take some shots to share.
