Passes are a way to get tours at a discount. Instead of buying tours one at a time, you buy a number of credits that can be used to redeem tours for as long as the credits remain valid.
How do pass credits work?
Every pass has a specific number of credits and each credit is valid for one tour — so a pass with 3 credits can be used to redeem 3 tours.
There are three types of passes: destination, country and global.
The credits in a destination pass are only valid for a specific city, town or region — so the credits in a London pass must all be used to redeem London tours.
Country passes work the same way, but the credit you get with a United Kingdom pass can be used for tours in Edinburgh, Belfast or Bath as well as London.
Global passes can be used anywhere in the world.
How long are credits valid?
When you use a credit to redeem a tour, your access to it doesn’t expire. It’s added to your VoiceMap library and you can listen to it there for as long as you like, as many times as you like.
But unredeemed credits do expire – and all the credits in the same pass expire at the same time. If you buy a pass valid for 7 days on a Monday at 9am, for example, the unredeemed credits in that pass expire at 9am the following week.
