Tips
Places to stop along the way
If you are in the mood for a sit-down meal I can recommend the restaurant in the National museum (no entry ticket for the museum required, it's possible just to visit the restaurant, closed on Mondays). Hotel Skeppsholmen has a nice restaurant too as well as Museum of Modern art. Kungsträdgården park has many options for a light meal.
Best time of day
From dawn to dusk.
Precautions
It's a perfect tour to walk anytime and any season, could be very busy during the weekend though. Brings you away from the most busy places in Stockholm like Old Town yet very pretty scenery.
A bottle of water and a sunblock, an umbrella during the summer, good walking shoes during the winter a wind protected clothes as it could be windy by the water.
