About the Tour

Zombie outbreak? Rising tides? What else could go wrong? Get to know the city of Pula in one wild, weird and entertaining hour!

This walking tour combines historical facts with an interactive fictional element including brain-eating zombies and special operatives. Immerse yourself in the role of The Photographer as you follow Agent Mila around Pula’s marina area to collect intel for The Captain who needs to assess how extensively the zombie pathogen has infected the city. Mila will direct you through the main tourist hotspots, including the city’s Forum, Fortress Kaštel, and the world-famous Aréna Pula Amphitheater. She’ll also show you the lesser-known back streets all while providing local insight to the city.

This fun and exciting hour-long tour starts near the Tourism Office of Pula in Forum Square. Along the way, you’ll learn what the golden fleece was that the Argonauts stole from the King of Colchis and exactly how many canons are missing from Kaštel. You’ll hear where the stones used to build the bell tower of the Pula Cathedral were brought from and find out why zombies eat brains and not cake.

Tips

Places to stop along the way

We recommend Sirena Bar, Cvjaner Gallery Bar both in Forum. We recommend Jupiter Pizza on Castropola Street. Our favorite bookstore is Znaje Pula on Giardini. Our favorite art gallery is Makina Gallery on Kandelrova Street. Our favorite movie theater is Kino Valli on Giardini. Our favorite ice cream shop is Gelato Fratelli on Sergii's Way.

Best time of day

You can do this tour any time of day, any time of year. If you go around 7pm, the sky is particularly magical. If you go at 7am, the streets will be mostly empty. If you go in the middle of the day, you will encounter a lot of zombies.

Precautions

Watch out for cars! Bring water. The tour lasts about an hour. There is a bit of uphill walking and some stairs to climb, so pace yourself. Oh yeah, and try to avoid zombies.

App Store Review
“Great app. walk around at your own pace, stop where you want, move on or speed up when you want. Read the script before you go or during the commentary, speed it up or replay it. Repeat the tour whenever you like.”
