About the Tour

Learn all about BC wine: this fun cycle tour winds past several Naramata Bench wineries, and other craft drinks producers, like distilleries, ciderhouses and breweries. Don't hesitate to hop off for a tasting along the way. If your saddlebags are full; producers are happy to ship bottles to your home. This hilly, looped biking tour is suitable adults on E-bikes and bicycles.

This tour launches from the KVR Smethurst Road Parking Lot, and ends in downtown Penticton. Along the way, you’ll have a chance to:

  • Discover some of the Naramata Bench's craft drinks producers
  • Stop for sips of delightful samples, and meet the folks behind the fermentation
  • Brush up on tasting techniques for wine, cider, beer and spirits
  • Learn more about what makes a craft drink in BC, what VQA means, and how the drinks industry has evolved.

This cycling tour takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the syilx (Okanagan) people, who have resided here since time immemorial. We recognize, honour, and respect the syilx lands, and appreciate the opportunity to be in this special place.

This tour was narrated by Marion Barschel, written by Arnica Rowan, and produced by Terroir Consulting for Discover Naramata. Thanks to Destination BC, Wine Growers BC, the Naramata Bench Wineries Association, the Naramata Heritage Museum, and photographers Jon Adrian and Caillum Smith for the beautiful photographs. Thanks to Peach City Community Radio for providing a great recording studio.
