About the Tour
Rev your own engines as you cycle along the previous Kettle Valley Railway's path. This linear tour tells the transportation story of Naramata Bench, featuring showy boats, treacherous roads, trains, planes and countless explosions. The gentle grade is suitable for novice riders, and pleasurable on E-bikes.
This tour launches from the SS Sicamous on Penticton's waterfront, and ends at the Penticton Pump Track parking lot on Naramata Road. Along the way, you’ll have a chance to:
- Explore Penticton's winding waterfront and spectacular pier
- Cycle on the vineyard benches above Okanagan Lake, drinking in the view
- Blast into the past, learning about the Okanagan's luxury steamliners and dazzling railway
- Discover the Kettle Valley Rail Trail, one of the most beautiful and easy sections of the Trans Canada Trail
This cycling tour takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the syilx (Okanagan) people, who have resided here since time immemorial. We recognize, honour, and respect the syilx lands, and appreciate the opportunity to be in this special place.
