About the Tour
Trace the delicious trail of Okanagan agriculture as you wind your way north long the Naramata Bench. From cattle to apples to grapes, discover the history of farming on the breathtaking bench landscape. Stop and munch along the way, as you drive past farm stands and artisan producers, like cheesemakers, cideries, an apiary, bakeries and orchards. This tour finishes at the location of Naramata's Wednesday afternoon farmer's market.
This tour begins in the parking area beside Penticton's downtown Community Gardens, on Townley Street, just off Vancouver Avenue, and ends in Manitou Park in Naramata. Along the way, you‘ll have a chance to:
- Wind down beautiful country roads, and explore off the beaten path
- Stop and support local farmers and producers
- Sample amazing local produce, drinks, and foodstuffs
- Fill your trunk with edible souvenirs
- Learn all about the agricultural history of this bountiful place
This driving tour takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the syilx (Okanagan) people, who have resided here since time immemorial. We recognize, honour, and respect the syilx lands, and appreciate the opportunity to learn about, and be in this special place.

Places to stop along the way
Please don't hesitate to stop at the multitude of farm stands, u-pick orchards, wineries, craft food and beverage producers or farm-to-plate restaurants along the Naramata Bench.
Best time of day
This tour is delightful any time of the year. If you visit in the summer or fall, try to time your tour on a Wednesday afternoon, so you finish your tour at the Naramata Farmers Market. In the late summer and fall, harvest season will provide even more opportunity to load up your shopping basket along the way.
Precautions
Note the speed limit in the City of Penticton is 50 km/hr, but the speed limit in the village of Naramata is 30 km/hr - we live the slow life!
