Beverly Hills’ Sweet Streets: A Chocolate Tour
About the Tour
Beverly Hills is synonymous with luxury and indulgence – and its chocolate scene is no exception. On this walking tour, you’ll discover craft chocolates with flavors, textures, and infusions that transform the ordinary into extraordinary. From traditional European techniques to innovative California creations, you’ll experience chocolate in its most elevated forms while exploring the iconic streets and landmarks that make Beverly Hills famous.
This tour starts at Edelweiss Chocolates, the only remaining chocolate factory in Beverly Hills. You’ll stroll through manicured gardens and past the elegant city hall with its Spanish Revival architecture and golden cupola. Along the way, you’ll learn about chocolate’s 3,000-year journey from Olmec, Mayan, and Aztec rituals, and find out how small family farms still produce 90% of the world’s cocoa.
I’ll share the story of a Brazilian immigrant who brought Swiss chocolate expertise to Beverly Hills, and you’ll taste the difference between pralines, truffles, and bonbons created by world-renowned chocolatiers. The tour ends at Wally’s Beverly Hills, where you can browse single-origin chocolates, sample artisanal cheese, and reflect on your sweet adventure over a glass of wine.
On this 90-minute chocolate tour, you’ll also have a chance to:
- Sample rose water-flavored dark chocolate treats and amaretto truffles at Edelweiss Chocolates
- Try Dubai Chocolate Mirage ice cream at Sweet Angeles, a Mediterranean treat that’s difficult to find elsewhere in LA
- Taste fruity chocolate creations with flavors like Double Yuzu and Strawberry Rosé at andSons
- Discover booze-infused chocolates and lavender truffles at Teuscher, Beverly Hills’ first high-end chocolate boutique
- Experience Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams’ ‘opaque’ flavor, honoring chocolate’s status as America’s first popular ice cream flavor
- Learn about chocolate’s journey from ancient Mesoamerican ritual drink to luxury product
- Snap photos at Instagram-worthy spots, including the iconic Beverly Hills sign, and explore Rodeo Drive’s luxury boutiques
Take this delicious journey through Beverly Hills to discover how chocolate brings joy and connection in one of America’s most glamorous settings.

Best time of day
Our Beverly Hills Chocolate Tour operates during the sweetest part of the day — between 10 AM and 4 PM — when boutiques are crafting fresh batches, the streets are at their most charming, and photo opportunities are at their best. Morning and early afternoon provide the perfect pace for tasting, strolling, and storytelling before the city shifts into its dinner rush and most of the chocolate shops on the tour close.
Precautions
This is a gentle walking tour through the heart of Beverly Hills, but a few small preparations can help you enjoy the experience comfortably from start to finish.
Health & Safety Notes
The route includes city sidewalks and a few small street crossings — please stay aware of traffic when crossing between stops.
Guests should be able to stand or walk at a relaxed pace for approximately two hours.
Hot days are common, especially in warmer months, so hydration is important and listening to your body.
If you have severe food allergies, and plan to eat at each location on the tour, please call each chocolate shop in advance so they can share if they can accommodate before arrival.
What to Bring
Water bottle – staying hydrated helps you enjoy the tastings.
Sun protection – sunglasses, sunblock, or a hat are helpful mid-day.
Comfortable shoes – the route is easy, but closed-toe, rubber sole shoes are suggested for leisurely walking on the mostly concrete pavement.
Weather extras – while Beverly Hills enjoys mild weather year-round, check the weather around the time you'll be arriving to accommodate any cooler breezes, or warmer weather that would inform your clothing choice.
Camera/phone – several stops, alleyways and golden picture frames along the way beckon you to make stunning photo moments. Be prepared!
Accessibility & Comfort
The tour is stroller-friendly and ADA-friendly, and there are public restrooms available along the route so please ask staff at each stop if you don't notice them. If you need a break at any point, use the public benches, or open establishments along the way.
