Lisbon’s historic neighbourhoods: a walk through Baixa, Mouraria and Graça
Walking Tour
About the Tour
Join me on a walking tour through some of Lisbon's most historic neighbourhoods. I’ve been a tour guide here for over five years and I love this city because each neighbourhood has its own story and character.
We start the tour in downtown Lisbon, with a pragmatic statesman and an earthquake that shook the city to its core. We’ll end it in Graça, with a sweeping view of the city and harbour below. Along the way, we'll pass colourful mosaics, regal squares and captivating street art.
A few of the highlights you can look forward to are:
• Discovering where our hidden churches come from
• Hearing about tolerance in São Domingos Square
• Finding an interesting blend of tradition and multiculturalism in Mouraria
• Discovering Fado music
• Relaxing in the Garden of Cerca where you can catch your breath before our final breathtaking stop.

It can be made at any time of the day but I will recommend in the afternoon if you don't want to miss the sunset in Lisbon's highest viewpoint!
