Welcome to Catalina. My name is Matthew and I am one of the 4000 residents of Avalon. Being a local I get asked a lot of questions. Do you live here full time? How expensive is it? Avalon is immensely safe to walk around in, day or night. Your biggest concern will be watching your step and for traffic. As you listen to and follow my voice, be aware of your surroundings and uneven walkways. Watch for bikes, pedestrians, cars, tour busses, or any other obstructions in your way. Headphones make it easier to immerse yourself in the tour but they limit your ability to hear surrounding noise.
