About the Tour

This walk is an immersive journey through Blouberg's history. Allow yourself to get lost in the soundscapes of the past, as you look beyond the modern houses to a much earlier time, when the British seized rule of the Cape from the Dutch. The journey starts at the iconic 'Ons Huisie' Restaurant and ends with a glorious postcard view of Table Mountain.

Directions to Starting Point

This route will start at the entrance of Ons Huisie Restaurant in Bloubergstrand. It is situated at the corner of Stadler and General Janssens Street.

There is a parking lot just opposite Ons Huisie.

If you would like to take the MyCiti bus, the 217 from Tableview Station will take you to the stop called "Kleinbaai". From here you can walk north up Sir David Baird Drive and turn left onto General Janssens Street. Follow the road down until the end and you will find Ons Huisie on your right.
