Monastiraki metro station can be reached on line 1 (green) and blue line (3) of the metro.
It is a 15 walk from the entrance to the Acropolis and a 10 minute walk from Syntagma metro.
It is also a 10 min walk from Omonia Square.

Best time of day
The best time to do the tour is between 10am and 3pm Monday to Saturday. Plan to stop and have lunch during the tour as we have a number of recommendations for you. If you only have one day in Athens, chose where to eat at the end of the tour so that you have all the choices before making your decision. The meat and fish markets start to close at 4pm.
Precautions
Pick pockets operate in Monastiraki Square so please be careful with your personal belongings, keep everything safe in front of you. Do not leave your mobile phone on the table whilst you are having coffee.
