My walk with VoiceMap gave me access to stories and histories that I could never have glimpsed otherwise. Rather than being an isolating kind of technology, I came away with the feeling that I'd connected with a real person. Can't wait to be doing more of these in the future.

What sets VoiceMap apart from any other walking tour app is that their tours are stories told by locals themselves. This way you’re not just getting all that generic touristy stuff, instead you’re getting a real insight into what the locals love about their cities.

I loved the tour, bought all of the New Orleans ones you had and have already recommended it to two people. As an amateur photographer who likes to take his time it was great. I will without a doubt continue to use the app.

We have been listening for voices that passionately share their experience of living their daily lives in Cape Town, and now we’re offering them the platform to share their love for the city with the rest of the world.

We are both designers - my husband is a UX designer - and we like the app. Its easy to understand and gives you all the information you need. We totally enjoyed our walk and we will do the others as well. It was a lot of fun and although we live in Berlin we learned things that we had never heard about before.

Creating VoiceMap walking tours has been a smooth process, both in terms of the software, which is straightforward and largely intuitive, and the personal support from VoiceMap staff, who are competent and helpful. I can’t wait to create a few more!

This was a brilliant experience. I took my Bluetooth enabled speakers in my backpack and went on this 5 km Elfin Trail hike with a friend of mine. We were totally impressed by the accuracy of the GPS, and the brilliantly narrated fairy tale stories added a mystical touch to it all. When we lost the plot once, we were told so in no uncertain terms and hence easily managed to retrace our steps back to where the route was supposed to run. I will most definitely investigate other tours in and around Cape Town.. and when I am in Germany in July I'll check a few there too.. What a GREAT invention - worth every cent! Thank you!

We have traveled to London many times and have taken many walking tours with guides. It really was convenient to be able to take a voice tour when we wanted to and not have to depend on a schedule. We enjoyed the humorous comments and descriptions you made. One time we found ourselves between activities and decided to take anther tour to take advantage of the time we had left. We will be visiting London again in November and hoping that even more VoiceMap tours will be available.
