Tea Krulos is an award-winning journalist and author from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is a contributing writer for Milwaukee Magazine, where he writes about unique history, pop culture, culture, and personality profiles. His writing for the magazine has been recognized with four Milwaukee Press Club Excellence in Wisconsin Journalism Awards. He also contributes to the Shepherd Express, Milwaukee Record, and has written for Atlas Obscura and Fortean Times, and is a regular guest on podcasts and radio shows like Lake Effect. His five non-fiction books include Monster Hunters, American Madness, and Wisconsin Legends & Lore. As an event organizer, he is co-creator of typewriter festival QWERTYFEST MKE and director of Milwaukee Krampusnacht. Krulos loves to travel, learn about history, culture, art, and has an especially keen interest in odd, unusual, or just plain weird trends, folklore, urban legends, and subcultures. He is a strong advocate of his hometown, Milwaukee, and all the things it has to offer.
