Born in El Paso, Texas, yet raised in Upper Westchester County, Jonathan Kruk grew up on tall tales and daydreams. Telling bedtime tales to his younger brothers led to a career as a professional storyteller. Performing at schools, libraries, festivals, and historic sites, he's best known for solo shows of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," "A Christmas Carol," and Hudson River lore. Most often, Jonathan engages young children with Finger Fables" and older ones with Story Theater.
Kruk has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning, The TODAY Show, The Travel Channel, and the BBC Great Railroad Journeys. He's made eight award-winning recordings and authored two books on the Hudson Valley, and "The Magical Wonderful Bul Bul Bird.
Mr. Kruk's storytelling performances on the American Revolution garnered citizenship medals from historical societies.
