John Bull Guides

I'm Joe and I am a professional full time local tour guide and historian, though for some reason when I give tours in Stratford I keep getting asked if I am an actor... I founded John Bull Guides in 2026 to produce audio tours of the places I know the best, because while I have shown them to tens of thousands of people over the years, I can't be everywhere at the same time. So this is the next best thing!

The most important thing for me about being a tour guide is to be entertaining. Every bit of these tours has been thoroughly researched with multiple sources to make sure that what you hear is factual and historically accurate, and if there is something we're not sure about, I will make that clear. But too many tour guides somehow think that dry facts are enough. They aren't, you have to give your audience something more,

I try as much as I can to deliver what you hear in an entertaining manner whilst keeping it as historically accurate as possible. It's also not good enough to present supposition, hearsay, and stuff that had absolutely been made up as if it is fact. That doesn't mean I won't throw in the odd yarn, but if something I say is just folklore or hearsay, I'll be honest enough to make sure you know that.

All of the John Bull Guides audio tours (OK, it's only the one so far, but now I have completed the learning curve, I will be adding more after the high season) have been designed to take in as much as you can in the most efficient way. So I hope you enjoy them.
