I’m a qualified primary school teacher with a passion for Oban’s past and present. Living in this beautiful corner of Scotland is something I never take for granted, and I’ve always been fascinated by the people, events and everyday moments that have shaped the town we see today.
Teaching has given me a love of bringing stories to life, and I enjoy nothing more than sharing the history of the area with others. Whether it’s well-known landmarks or the smaller details that are easy to miss, I’m always excited to help visitors and locals alike see Oban in a new way.
For me, the real joy is helping people imagine the lives, voices and footsteps that once filled these streets — and discovering how the past still echoes through the town today.
