Welcome to my page on VoiceMap.
I'm Emm, a licensed Malta guide and unapologetic art-history geek. I've created my tours to be built around what I love most about these beautiful central Mediterranean islands: the architecture, the history, and the food.
I wanted to bring parts of my longer, bespoke private tours to independent travellers like you, who prefer to explore at your own pace — and to cruise ship guests who'd rather set your own route and timing than join a big group tour.
Each self-guided route is easy to follow and richly layered with art, architecture, and storytelling that bring the history of the Maltese islands to life. Plan on around two hours — or four, if you walk my way: slowly, stopping at every corner, taking in the detail and the local cafés.
My Valletta and harbour routes trace the Knights of St John through Baroque streets, the British Empire's commercial legacy, and the story of the Grand Harbour and its people. All my tours include a few stops near cafés and museums I love, so you can wander into history at your own pace.
Why my profile picture? It's a detail of my family's Maltese door knocker — an elaborate brass dolphin fish, painted in Malta's red. It felt welcoming, unmistakably Maltese, and beautiful too. When you're out walking, tag me with your photos of balcony corbels, door knockers, and façades, and I'll repost my favourites.
Wander into Malta's story with me.
