I grew up exploring the trails of Colorado, where weekend hikes were just part of life. As a teenager, I started climbing Colorado’s famous “fourteeners” — peaks over 14,000 feet — and quickly realized how fortunate I was to have learned hiking skills gradually over many years. Not everyone gets that kind of introduction to the outdoors.
That realization eventually led me to found Hike for Life in 2017, a locally owned guiding company built around education, stewardship, and meaningful connection to nature. For more than seven years, we’ve guided guests through Garden of the Gods, helping visitors understand not just what they’re looking at, but why it matters — from the dramatic red rock geology to the human stories woven into this landscape.
I created this VoiceMap tour because we simply couldn’t meet the growing demand for guided hikes. Think of it as the heart of our in-person experience — the stories, insights, and local perspective — delivered in your headphones. My goal is simple: to help you explore responsibly, notice more than you would on your own, and leave feeling more connected to this remarkable place.
