I was raised near Council, Idaho where my grandparents and great-grandparents homesteaded.
I have studied and written about local history for much of my life. I've written a weekly "History Corner" column for the local newspaper for over 31 years. I'm a recipient of the Idaho State Historical Society's "Esto Perpetua" award for outstanding preservation of Idaho history. I'm Chairman of the Council Valley Museum Board and helped completely reorganize, and add on to, the museum. I'm also a musician and nationally known scrimshaw artist.
