Known locally as Ski Hill, this place has existed since 1928! The Leavenworth Winter Sports Club or some early form of it has been facilitating winter recreation in the Leavenworth area. Starting in 1929 annual Ski Jumping competitions put Ski Hill on the map which eventually led to hosting Olympic qualifying competitions!! Today Ski Hill proudly offers a collection of fun trails and opportunities for locals and visitors alike.

Fitted with all the fixings, the ski hill offers world-class Nordic skiing, a jumping hill, its famed tubing hill, and a total of 26 kilometers of trails across the locations managed by the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club. Whether you want to go skiing or just enjoy a hot drink, this is an area that is pretty much guaranteed to provide you with a lot of fun.

You've probably spotted the lodge built up against the tree line. In 1936 the Civilian Conservation Corps built the Rustic Ski Hill Lodge. Continued improvements have made this a place you can enjoy year-round. Best enjoyed with friends, the Ski Hill lodge is full of all the essentials. Offering live music, fire pits, a delicious selection of classic foods, beer, and of course, hot cocoa, it's a good place to relax and recover.

The lodge and surrounding area also provide countless other opportunities to celebrate the beauty of nature, including mountain biking, exciting hiking opportunities, and access to stunning natural spaces. I bring my children here several times a week for a variety of activities including Ski Team, Mountain Biking, Hiking, and Summer Concerts at the lodge. Pretty amazing!

Feel free to get out of your car and enjoy some of the activities. It's just a short walk or hike up to the Lodge where they have restroom facilities as well as food and local beverages you can enjoy on their outdoor patio.

Leavenworth Ski Hill is also home to Leavenworth Summer Theater. It is the largest theater between Seattle and Spokane, with more than 20,000 people expected each summer at their live outdoor performances. You may visit the stage by following the road past the Ski Hill Lodge. Read More
