About the Tour
Stroll along streets lined with southern live oak trees draped in Spanish moss on this walking tour of beautiful Savannah. You’ll discover how and why the city was established, and learn about the battles that were fought here. You’ll hear stories filled with intrigue and, as Savannah’s southern charm draws you in, I’ll tell you how this city has grown into the popular destination it is today.
High points along the way include:
• Discovering the history and home of the Gordon family, along with Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of the Girl Scouts
• Seeing where Forrest Gump sat with his box of chocolates
• Exploring a former battleground
• Finding out why Savannah is the most haunted city in the country
This tour covers all that, and much more. Our walk begins in Wright Square and ends at Forsyth Park, and there’ll be plenty of opportunities for you to enjoy your surroundings and truly savour Savannah.

Directions to Starting Point
Your tour begins in Wright Square, across the street from CVS. There is no physical address for Wright Square, but you can use GPS for CVS at 119 Bull St., Savannah, to help you get to Wright Square.
Tips
Places to stop along the way
Wright Square Cafe, Six Pence Pub, Espresso Coffee, The Public Kitchen,Gryphon Tea Room, and Arts Cafe are all great places to stop for lunch or dinner along your route. Frieze Savannah (Wright Square), E. Shaver's Bookstore (Madison Square), and SCAD Shop (Madison Square) are a few interesting shops to stop at. Homes that can be toured along the way are the Sorrel-Weed House and Green-Meldrim Home. The Green-Meldrim house is our favorite house to tour, if the house is open, we highly recommend you take time to tour this home. Towards the end of your route on Monterrey Square, you will find the Mercer-Williams house, made famous by the book and movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil.

Precautions
Watch your step, many of the sidewalks are uneven due to the live oak trees. You will be crossing many streets, please be aware of the traffic.
