After completing my education as an opera singer in the US and Canada, I heeded the call of my second love (Italy) and moved to Rome. Over a decade later, I’m still in love with this crazy and wonderful city. Today I earn my bread as an author, travel writer, podcaster, and tour guide. My debut novel, Midnight in the Piazza (Harper, 2018), is an art mystery for young readers set in contemporary Rome, and I'm currently putting the finishing touches on my latest book, Saving Caravaggio, a YA historical thriller set in Rome in 1599. I co-host and co-produce The BitterSweet Life, a weekly podcast about the joys and challenges of the expat experience. I also share my passion for Rome on private walking tours, and I love rediscovering my city through the eyes of my clients. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring Rome's museums and hidden corners with my Roman husband and son.
