I moved to Hampton Wick in the mid-1970s and immediately realised I had found a very special place. My retirement in 2009 at last gave me time to find out more about its history. I started by building a website at www.hamptonwickhistory.org.uk which now has several thousand pages of info and images including a section detailing both the inhabitants and the sales history of every one of the 650 individual houses within the village. 10 of the 12 books I have since written can both be purchased through the website or may also be read on it in full for free.
