Hello, my name is Martoke Witlox and since 2012 working as a guide in Salamanca and surroundings with lots of enthusiasm. Born in the Netherlands but since1992 living in Salamanca. I came to Salamanca for a Spanish language course, and yes I met someone who is now my husband.

I have permission from the Junta de Castilla y León to work in this beautiful environment. My studies are tourism and my passion is history. This makes it really enjoyable to work in this area. My motto is: “A tour without anecdotes and humor is not a tour”. Fortunately, this region provides for all this and more.

Salamanca is a beautiful city with so much history, tales, legends, anecdotes, good food and atmosphere. What more do you want? I feel privileged to be a guide here. But happily not only Salamanca. Burgos is another gem in this no so known heart of Spain region.
