Kate Gorman is an artist, writer, and performer creating multisensory experiences and experimenting with how they are described and documented. A multiple-award winning artist, she has exhibited her work primarily in Washington, DC and Maryland.
In addition to her visual and conceptual art practice, she is a content creator for the YouTube channel @walkingsalon where she makes videos on her printmaking and bookmaking processes and the artistic inspiration she draws from the built and natural environment, like a mulberry tree in her neighborhood or a mockingbird singing on a lamppost on the Metropolitan Branch Trail.
Her work with VoiceMap has focused on producing compelling fictional experiences that highlight under-explored locations in the parks and gardens around the National Mall in Washington, DC.
