As a journalist for more 20 years, I have always loved local history. Producing this VoiceMap tour gave me a chance to celebrate the community in which I grew up and share a part of Los Angeles history that many don't know about. I worked as a journalist for all the local papers that cover Redondo Beach, ending with the Daily Breeze newspaper. My days at the paper gave me a unique perspective on the people and issues that shape our community. Throughout the course of my journalism career, I reported on a host of issues including the environment, healthcare, legal issues and scientific research. My passion, however, has always been local news. Reporting on my hometown of Redondo Beach was the highlight of my career, which is why this Voicemap tour is so special.
