Originally from Vancouver, Canada, I have called Lombardy home since 2009, living just south of Milan among the vineyards of the Oltrepò Pavese. For more than fifteen years, I’ve been immersed in Italian life, language, and culture — not as a visitor, but as a resident deeply connected to the rhythms and stories of this region.

I am an English, dance, and musical theatre teacher, a performer, and an ARCT-certified pianist. My professional life revolves around storytelling — whether through music, theatre, or language. I spend my days helping students connect emotionally and historically to the stories behind the art they perform, and that same passion shapes how I tell the story of Milan.

Milan is far more than a fashion capital. It is a city where politics shaped power, music shaped identity, and art shaped the world’s imagination. Through years of living here, building friendships across Italy, and exploring Milan’s cultural life firsthand, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the city’s layered history — from opera houses and ateliers to revolutionary movements and creative renaissances.

I even had the privilege of participating in Milan’s contemporary story, performing in the Opening Ceremonies City and Mountain cast for the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics — a moment that reminded me how this city continually reinvents itself while honoring its past.

In this tour, I bring together my background in performance, music history, cultural immersion, and education to guide you through Milan’s stories — not just the facts, but the human drama behind them. My goal is simple: to help you experience Milan the way I have — as a living stage where art, fashion, music, and politics are forever intertwined.
