After completing a classical education as an opera singer in the US and Canada, I heeded the call of my second love (Italy) and decided to move to Rome. Over a decade later, I’m still in love with this crazy and wonderful city. Today I earn my bread as a travel writer, author, and tour guide. I head the editorial department of Where Rome magazine, I freelance for multiple travel publications, and I’m putting the finishing touches on my first book, an art mystery for young readers set in Rome. In my spare time, I share my passion for Rome with tourists on private walking tours, and I love seeing the city—as if for the first time—through the eyes of my clients. I blog about Rome’s art, history, curiosities, and hidden gems at The Pines of Rome, and I co-host The BitterSweet Life, a conversational podcast about the joys and challenges of the expat experience.
