    Honey Bend

About ¾ of a mile ahead of us, just before the power boxes that will be on our right is Honey Bend Avenue, and a mile down this road is the village of Honey Bend. Honey Bend was named so because apparently, a man who lived near here, with a bend in his back, once cut down and stole another man’s bee tree, taking the honey for himself to sell at his stores. The neighbors of the man with the bend in his back found out what he did and started calling him Honey Bend. That man owned several houses in the village, and eventually his nickname became the name of the village.
