    “So there’s a big gulf happening between policy and implementation and I think that one of the big differences is that, whereas policy sees a long-term game, politics and politicians tend to act on the short-term, so they act in three year budget spans, for instance, which I think is one of the biggest reason why we haven’t seen a shift away from this very unsustainable way of building thousands of units out on the urban periphery and they constitute poverty traps and it just entrenches the cycle and actually it’s incredibly dangerous.“
