    Cross Wood Street

Cross Wood Street on Bath audio tour Walk the Highlights of Georgian & Victorian Bath

Here at the crossroads, turn to your right and face down the slope and being mindful of traffic, cross the road into Queen Street, keeping the pub called the Raven on your left. The names of pubs are fascinating don't you think and always a good excuse perhaps to pop in and ask where the name comes from!

Please continue to the archway at the end of this cobbled street of small cafes, bars and shops.

With this street, it is easy to imagine what life was like before the motor car, in the days of horse drawn carriages and sedan chairs.

Just think of the sound of horse drawn carriages and the smell of them also perhaps!

Preview mode limited to first 3 locations.
