Tour Locations | From the Golden Age to the Glory of Siena’s Present Traditions
Keep going straight.
As you walk, you will probably notice a fancy pastry shop on the right, where a lot of people are buzzing around. It is the most famous in town. Often, touring with Italians, I get asked about this place. The owner was an F1 pilot in the late 80s and his sister is a rock singer, it's one of the reasons why people know or have heard about them.
Their beautifully decorated windows showcase some of the traditional Siena sweets like panforte and ricciarelli: the first one is similar to fruit cake and the second is an almond paste biscotti ... the fresh ones that you can get by weight or by piece are DELICIOUS!!!
Besides Nannini, there are available at any deli shop including Dolce Siena where we started our tour.
