    Municipal Market

So here we are at the Municipal Market, and the final stop on our tour of downtown São Paulo.

Feel free to head in to the market while I conclude the tour.

This Market was opened on January 25, 1933. Yes, there it is again -that date- the 25th January, the day Saint Paul is celebrated around the world.

The stained glass windows inside were created by the Russian artist Sorgenicht Conrad Filho, whose work we have already seen at the beginning of this tour in the Sé Cathedral. In all, 32 panels are subdivided into 72 beautiful stained glass windows, showing various aspects of food production.

My tip is to get to the second floor of the market to appreciate the view of these windows in all their glory - and then to get a few photos before sampling the cod pastels and bologne sandwiches!

Take your time to explore inside, it's truly a feast for the senses.

This is where I'll be leaving you.

I'd like to encourage you to further explore the city and its people, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Thank you for allowing me to guide you today, I hope that the remainder of your stay in São Paulo will be a pleasant one!
