Through fashionable Paris in the footsteps of Audrey Hepburn
The Hotel Crillon, on your left, was the site of a fashion shoot for Vogue in 1963. Audrey wore a gauzy pink gown and her hair was styled in an exaggerated pompadour. She appeared on the magazine cover with her husband Mel Ferrer.
In 1979, after Audrey had divorced Ferrer and married an Italian psychiatrist named Andrea Dotti, the Hotel Crillon played another role in her life. Audrey discovered that her second husband was unfaithful. She was in Paris to film scenes for the movie "Bloodline." It's a dreadful film; I don't recommend it. Audrey had a brief affair with her co-star, Ben Gazzara, and they spent time together here. Three years later, she divorced Dotti.
Audrey never remarried, although she eventually found happiness in love. In 1980 she began a relationship with Dutch actor Robert Wolders. They remained together until her death in 1993.
