Stop and have a look to your left for the light yellow stucco two story house with the sloping roof line, red door and two roof dormers.
This is called Doll's house and was the second cottage Comstock built for Mr. Swain. It's one of the larger of Swain's homes with three bedrooms and two baths. Constructed in 1928, this Tudor style cottage cost approximately $2,600 to build. In 2017 this home sold for $995,000. What a difference 90 years makes in real estate values.
Notice the signature Comstock characteristic of wood shiplap set in an undulating pattern that you saw before at The Woods.
Now, let's keep going in the same direction along this street.
