LOCATION 21 | A Walk in Santa Monica
The Georgian Hotel
Carry on walking along the winding pathway.
The turquoise building across the street on your right is the Georgian Hotel. It was built in 1933 and was home to a speakeasy during Prohibition. It has always attracted a glamorous crowd, but there is also talk of ghosts roaming the place.
There is also a sign for Route 66 on this side of the street. Before we had the modern interstate freeways, Route 66 extended over two thousand miles, starting in Chicago Illinois and ending in Santa Monica, California. You could get your kicks on Route 66.
Keep following the path along the cliff's edge.
