    Theatreland Tour with Ian McKellen

You should be standing in front of the TKTS booth in Leicester Square. It’s a small, white building with TKTS in red letters on the front. This ticket booth is run by the Society of London Theatre. That’s a non-profit organization with offices just around the corner. They’re also the producer of this audio walk.

So, hello and welcome to this VoiceMap tour of the West End. My name is Ian McKellen and I’m an actor. As, indeed, are you. Is not “All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players”. Today Theatreland itself is our stage and you have been cast as the lead actor in our adventure through it. And me? Well, I’m your director. I'll tell you where to go and what to do.

You can keep your phone out of sight, preferably in your pocket. The technology and I will do the rest. VoiceMap will use your location to move the story along automatically. Just keep your eyes open and don't worry too much about short periods of silence along the way. They're normal. There is always a map on screen that you can refer to if there’s a problem.

So, I want you to make your way into the centre of Leicester Square. There's a white statue right in the middle of it. I’ll meet you there.
