St Michael's Cornhill
Here we are back on Cornhill. Before we move on, stop and face the entrance to St Michael's Cornhill, the old church beside you.
This Gothic tower was designed by Wren's pupil, Hawksmoor and rebuilt by Wren in 1670. It was from here that the bells rang heralding the appearance of the 3 ghosts in 'A Christmas Carol'.
Now turn to face the street again. Turn to your right and start walking again now, with the traffic on your left.
