    Cross Rue de la Filature

Stop for a moment as you reach the corner.

Can you see the long yellow-ochre corner house on the right side of the street? Doesn’t it catch the eye with its well-balanced harmony? No wonder! Its proportions have been conceived on the basis of the so-called “golden ratio”, the one pharaohs already used for building pyramids and all sorts of other monuments. It’s defined by the Greek letter phi and has a value of 1.618... and some.

Let's move on. Continue straight, crossing rue de la Filature.

On the other side is the restaurant "Les Négociants". It used to be a very popular restaurant where simple workers came in overalls to eat rib steaks with chips. Today, it is one of the most select ones.

Continue walking straight, following the tramway as far as the next place, the Temple place. I'll meet you at the next corner.
