Once you have crossed, follow the pavement as it curves to the left and cross the small side road. You should now be across the street from the foundation stones of the Caird Hall.
There is a pub on the corner in front of you. Keeping this pub on your left, follow the pavement round.
I spoke before about Dundee's problems with alcohol.
There were many prominent campaigners against alcohol. Among them was the poet William McGonagall who said: 'The first man to throw peas at me was a publican." McGonagall was very anti-drink but he would perform his poetry in pubs for tips. It is perhaps unsurprising that a pub landlord responding to his anti-alcohol poetry by showering him with peas.
