    Along Clarendon Street

As we continue to walk down Clarendon Street, you will notice that it is very much in a Georgian style of housing, very similar to Merrion Square in Dublin.

Most of the houses are now being used as professional offices by accountants, solicitors, architects, doctors and dentists plus many more businesses. This area, when first built would have been for houses of the well to do merchants of the city who would have been involved in the export and import of goods in the city through the nearby area of the quay. The houses would have included cellars and attics for servants to live, with the family living on the first and second floors, with perhaps a business office on the ground floor.

Continue walking down the street. I'll meet you at the junction with Queen Street, where we'll be turning right.

Preview mode limited to first 3 locations.
