St. Michael's Church, City Hall, Catholic Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, King Street, City Market
Start at the Wells Fargo Bank Building at 16 Broad St, Charleston, SC. It is on the northwest corner of the intersection of Broad St. and East Bay St. Metered street parking is available. Closest parking garage is 25 Prioleau St, Charleston, SC. You can take the 211 King/Meeting DASH Shuttle bus to the Church St. stop and walk 2 blocks East on Broad St. to the starting point.
Places to stop along the way:
There are five restaurants and shops to stop in along the route. You can pop in for a quick snack, or stay for a full meal - whatever sounds good to you! Many restaurants have a unique ambiance that will likely draw you in for a moment of rest.
Best time of day:
We recommend starting the tour around 11AM - this will allow you to sneak into some places before they get busy, and allow you to reach all of the restaurants before they close for the day. Please note one of the restaurants is CLOSED on Sundays; however, all restaurant hours of operation may be subject to change without notice.
Charleston's city streets are often uneven (and sometimes paved in cobblestone!) so please watch your step as you take in the surroundings.
Also, please note this tour is not a loop - you'll end up about 0.5 mile from the starting point, and we'll help you navigate after the tour is over. Any food is purchased separately.
