    Moreton's Steps

Can you see a signboard to your left? Make your way over to it and stop beneath it. It marks the top of Moreton's Steps, another of the three places of cultural significance on Coochiemudlo Island. The concrete steps leading down were made named for Doug and Mary Moreton, early farmers on the island. When you see it, you can go over and have a look.

The steps were built by hand. Look carefully all the way down to the shore. At the bottom, can see the remains of an old jetty? This is where the Moretons would launch to take their produce over to the mainland.

When you're ready you can continue in the same direction as before.
