Brock Street on Bath audio tour Walk the Highlights of Georgian & Victorian Bath

Turn right into Brock Street, staying on the sidewalk.

As you walk, notice a lot of the windows are of the style known as Venetian, where you have 3 windows group together, with the middle one higher and rounded at the top.

There is a theory that John Wood the architect created the Circus, Brock Street where you are now and the Royal Crescent, which you will see soon, to represent a diagram of a key - but a key to unlock what I hear you say? The answer is we do not know, but we do know that John Wood was a member of the secret Freemasons society and that some of the symbolic carving back in the Circus may also have hidden meanings.
