La Plata is just ahead on the corner to your left.
Feel free to pop inside if you like. Otherwise turn right here onto Carrer de la Pata and keep going.
[2 SECOND PAUSE]
You remember Via Laietana, that big avenue we crossed, by the post office?
We left the neighborhood of El Born behind us after crossing, and entered The Gothic Quarter or Barri Gòtic as it is known locally. This is the oldest part of Barcelona with beautifully preserved Roman, Gothic and Medieval buildings. Were we to continue straight through and cross La Rambla, that would take us into El Raval.
