Red Lights, Hummus and a Beer Stop...or Three

You should be standing at the bottom of the stairs outside Exit 4 of Phloen Chit BTS station. Directly to your right is a tall office building called Q House. To your left is the street. This is a pretty busy hub, so we won't stay too long. With the road on your left start walking straight down the sidewalk now, away from the stairs you just came down.

My name is Greg. I came here in 2001 for a quick vacation, but just kind of forgot to leave. I've traveled all over Thailand, but Bangkok is my home. I love this city - its people, its problems, its eccentricities, and its hidden corners. And most of all, I love showing people around. I hope you enjoy our walk.

VoiceMap uses your location to play commentary automatically, so you can now put your phone away and focus on your surroundings. Silence between tracks is normal. If you get lost or stuck, you can look at the route map on your phone's screen. Just be mindful of traffic when crossing side streets.

Keep walking straight through this intersection to the other side. You'll hear from me again just up ahead, on the other side of the train tracks. Can you see that corporate artwork on the corner by the blue KTB Bank building? Head for that.
