    The end!

    Pay wave

Okay, well that about wraps it up for today!

This is where I'll say goodbye, but first, you have two final options for getting back.

One option is to simply walk up the stairs and back across the bridge, which will take you back to where we started.

The second option is to wait here for the river taxi and go 1 stop upriver to Phra Athit, which you can see off to your left there, by the trees.

It's a short, relaxing little ride, and you don't have to walk along the noisy bridge. The only drawback is that sometimes you need to wait for 10 or 15 minutes for a boat.

If you want to do this, you have to take the right color boat. Boat colors are denoted by a triangular flag flying at the back, and come in orange, yellow, green, and no color, which means, no flag. If you want to cross over, take ONLY the orange flag or no flag boat. The attendant at the pier should be able to help if you ask. You're going 1 stop, to pier N13

So that's it. Thanks for coming on my walking tour today. I hope you enjoyed it. Don't forget to rate the tour and leave some feedback if you have any. Have a good day, week, month, and year, and enjoy the rest of your trip.

Chinatown is one of Bangkok's busiest, most interesting (and most neon-y) areas, and is known primarily for two things: gold shops and food. Since we're not here to buy gold, the food will have to do. We'll take a walk up one side of Yaowarat Road... More»
